This winter, studio s and Urbana Cafe have joined forces to bring you an epic spring season of marathon and half-marathon training. Both local businesses are rooted in their desire to create a deep sense of community in Cincinnati. We also believe that training for a race is more than grinding out the miles. It is learning more about your sport, having a better understanding of what’s happening with your body when you train, and making lasting connections with those running next to you. This spring, get ready for quality run coaching, sweaty hugs over a cup of coffee, yoga with teammates and more laughs than you’ll be able to count.

Spring Marathon & Half-Marathon Training
Team long runs on Saturdays @8AM from Urbana Cafe in East Walnut Hills

All paces and running abilities are welcome. We will not leave you alone at the front or back of the pack.

Training begins on 1/5/19.
$150 Early pricing, good through 12/20/18
$175 Regular season, 12/21/18–on
We will not give price adjustments for a late start or for withdrawal from the program, no exceptions. Registration is non-transferable. Commitment is essential.

Private Run Coaching

We believe that no two runners are the same, that’s why our coaching goes way beyond simply spitting out a one-size-fits-all plan for you to follow. We coach you as an individual, modifying your workouts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis by observing and testing how your body is responding to training. In addition to being run coaches, we are strength training and lifestyle experts, and we know that thriving as a runner has to do with a lot more than just running. We will guide you through a process that protects and strengthens your body for the long haul, making you a more efficient runner and stronger athlete overall.

All levels welcome. Programming is appropriate for 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra marathon.

Week-by-week coaching

minimum of 4 weeks, $60 per week

Seasonal Training

12-week private coaching, $685
12-week private coaching + strength/ core, $925
(includes one studio s small-group S60 strength class or group Pilates Reformer per week; classes expire at the end of the 12-week program)


16-week private coaching, $880
16-week private coaching + strength/ core, $1200
(includes one studio s small-group S60 strength class or group Pilates Reformer per week; classes expire at the end of the 16-week program)


20-week private coaching, $1060
20-week private coaching + strength/ core, $1460
(includes one studio s small-group S60 strength class or group Pilates Reformer per week; classes expire at the end of the 20-week program)

What’s included:
  1. Athlete history & current fitness analysis
  2. Daily customized & detailed workouts based on your needs/ goals
  3. Heart rate testing & customized heart rate training
  4. Unlimited communication with your coach (email, phone & text messages), including a regularly scheduled weekly phone call (~30 minutes)
  5. In-person session 1–2 times per month to assess form, check progress or go over exercises
  6. Goal setting & race strategy
  7. Individualized race nutrition strategy/ recommendations
  8. Gear selection
  9. Post-race consultation
  10. 10% discount on a future Team S group training program

Local (Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky) and distance coaching (limited to U.S. athletes) is available. Coaching will be provided by studio s owner, experienced runner and veteran coach, Susie Crossland-Dwyer.
